Famous leaker Max Weinbach has managed to get his hands on a beta version of Samsung’s new overlay that will soon arrive on its Galaxy smartphones. The new version does not look revolutionarybut still brings a small batch of welcome changes.
According to the leaker, One UI 5 brings in particular small changes to notification panel design. In addition to a redesigned look, alerts now have new icons. The opacity has also been slightly adjusted for quick settings and shadows. For its part, the authorization dialog seems to have changed its position, moving from the bottom to the center, with colored buttons on which to click. Although none of these changes are significant, they provide a new design that brings a bit of freshness to the interface.

Samsung is revamping its animations to make its interface more fluid
One of the main criticisms that could be made of One UI 4.1 was its lack of fluidity compared to its competitors such as MIUI or ColorOS. One UI 5 animations now appear smoother than previous versions, and Samsung has added new multitasking gesturess. Users will now be able to swipe up from the bottom with two screens to access split view or swipe inwards from the top right corner to popup.
