One week before its release, Elex II reveals the promises of its open world


In this new video, the development team tries to summarize the whole proposal ofElex II. Open world, bestiary, fights, equipment, relations with the five different factions that populate the world of Magalan, to which the hero, Jax, ends up returning: everything goes. As had already been specified, this second part will therefore be articulated around the appearance of a new threat, taking the form of a mysterious invader from space, and who could shave humanity off the map of Magalan. .

We learn that the planet has been the scene of continuous clashes between the Clerics, the Berserkers, the Outlaws, the Morkons and the Albs and that it will therefore be necessary, after a long absence, to manage its return on site as well as possible. This new trailer also details how Jax’s relationships with these different groups will allow him to unlock weapons, abilities and equipment, to be used in close combat or in ranged combat. The player will also have the option of not aligning themselves and remaining fully independent, although they may temporarily be joined by different NPCs. The “open world” component involves the use of the jetpack to give a little verticality to the progression, the discovery of well hidden chests and a crafting enabled by collecting resources directly in the game environment.
