Five months after its announcement, the OnePlus 10 Pro finally passed on the test bench of the French laboratory DxOMark. The opportunity to evaluate both its photo performance, but also the audio quality of the latest premium smartphone from OnePlus.

And despite the partnership between OnePlus and Hasselblad, it is clear that the OnePlus 10 Pro had difficulty convincing DxOMark. The French laboratory has indeed awarded it an overall score of 127 points, with 132 points in photo, 72 points for zoom and 110 points in video. The smartphone thus arrives at 27th place in the ranking, only one point ahead of the Oppo Find X2 Pro launched two years ago and behind the iPhone 12 Pro.

The top 10 of DxOMark is therefore not turned upside down by this new entry, since we find at the top:

  1. Honor Magic 4 Ultimate (146)
  2. Huawei P50 Pro (144)
  3. Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra (143)
  4. Huawei Mate 40 Pro+ (139)
  5. Apple iPhone 13 Pro (137)
  6. Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max (137)
  7. Huawei Mate 40 Pro (136)
  8. Google Pixel 6 Pro (135)
  9. Vivo X70 Pro+ (135)
  10. Asus Smartphone for Snapdragon Insider (133)
  11. Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra (133)

To justify the score of the OnePlus 10 Pro, DxOMark deplores notable concerns in low light with digital noise, a problem with white balance or too marked shadows. The French laboratory also regrets the too low zoom range offered on the smartphone. As a reminder, the OnePlus 10 Pro has an ultra wide-angle and a telephoto lens, but the long focal length is limited to a 77mm equivalent. Above all, in ultra wide-angle as with telephoto, the OnePlus 10 Pro provides images that lack detail and with a lack of saturation except for certain hues such as green:

The OnePlus 10 Pro is not at the level of the best devices in the ultra high-end segment. It has a similar level to older smartphones like iPhone 12 Pro and Oppo Find X2 Pro.

57th place for the audio ranking

For the audio quality of the smartphone, DxOMark this time allocated the score of 66 points, positioning the OnePlus 10 Pro in 57th place in its ranking. It is above all the lack of power and bass that are blamed on the smartphone for reading as well as the rather weak dynamic performance when recording. DxOMark nevertheless welcomes a good balance between the different tones when listening to music with the speakers of the smartphone.
