OnePlus 10T introduced – fully charged in 19 minutes

The OnePlus 10T manages without “Pro”, but focuses on performance. Read here what the new mobile phone has to offer.

After the OnePlus 10 Pro (in review), the Chinese company has now presented the OnePlus 10T. The T version is always a performance upgrade compared to the devices from the same year. For example, the mobile phone works with the latest and most powerful Snapdragon processor from Qualcomm and the battery is fully charged in just 19 minutes thanks to 150 watt charging! Visually, the 10T is based on the 10 Pro.

OnePlus 10T comes with a 160 watt power adapter

As stunning cameras and displays become the norm, users also want more battery life and faster charging. Because even many flagships sometimes still need more than 1.5 hours. According to the manufacturer, the OnePlus 10T only needs 19 minutes to fully charge the 4800 mAh battery from 1 to 100 percent. Because the battery supports a whopping 150 watts (Supervooc Endurance Edition). And so that these are actually achieved, OnePlus includes a 160 watt power supply in the scope of delivery. Incidentally, 6 minutes is enough to charge the battery to 50 percent. And you can also use the power adapter to charge your laptop.

OnePlus also makes sure that you can use the smartphone or the battery for a long time. The manufacturer states that the battery of the OnePlus 10T still has 80 percent of its initial capacity after 1600 charging cycles. This corresponds to a daily charge over a period of 4 years.

With a specially developed battery health algorithm, OnePlus reduces the stress areas (0 or 100 percent) in which the battery moves. The system then keeps the battery as little as possible at 100 percent during charging. Your smartphone learns when the user usually disconnects the device from the socket in order to load the remaining percentage just beforehand.

In order to avoid heat, which is particularly harmful to the battery, OnePlus installs some temperature sensors in the power supply, cable and cell phone.

OnePlus has to do without alert sliders on the edge of the case

A well-known hardware feature that many OnePlus users appreciate had to give way in favor of the performance: the alert slider on the edge of the case. In order to accommodate this as well, the device would have had to be thicker, which the responsible designers could not approve of. So the decision was made against the feature and for the performance.

OnePlus 10T: design, display and camera

The new OnePlus 10T relies on a unibody case and a very identical design to the 10 Pro. The display measures 6.7 inches and only has thin edges and no notch. The triple camera with its 50-megapixel main sensor is on the back. You can choose between the colors black and green, overall the 10T looks really very chic.

You have to make compromises with the display, it comes without LTPO technology. The refresh rate changes automatically between 60, 90 and 120 Hertz, but not seamlessly from 10 to 120 Hertz. With the camera you have to do without the Hasselblad features, overall the specs sound very good.

price and launch

The OnePlus 10T is available in 2 memory sizes: 128 GB + 8 GB RAM and 256 GB + 16 GB RAM. The prices are 699 and 799 euros RRP.

You can pre-order both memory variants from August 11th (e.g. at Amazon) before they appear on the market from August 25th.

First impression of the OnePlus 10T

The OnePlus 10T is priced in the upper class and offers appropriate equipment. While the display and camera are great, the performance of the device is particularly impressive – especially the battery! Just connect it to the power pack for a short time and you have energy for the whole day, that’s how it should be. We will test in detail how the device performs in everyday use. In total, the device gets 3 major Android updates and 4 years of security updates.
