OnePlus brings a very practical update to a 2022 smartphone

OnePlus is rolling out a new update for OxygenOS. The latter fixes several bugs, but also brings with it the June security patch issued by Google for Android.

There are sometimes very unspectacular, yet important, updates. The Oxygen OS 14.0.0.700 update deployed this week on the OnePlus 10T is one of them. The latter fixes several annoying bugs, improves the traditional “system stability”, brings some additional functions and brings with it the latest Android security patch, that of June 2024.

This new update thus introduces a confidentiality function which allows, for example, to hide the trace of the reason chosen for unlocking. This makes it more difficult to identify and replicate. OnePlus also mentions the correction of a bug linked to the storage of its OnePlus 10T. The latter involved abnormal occupation of space by certain files.

A catch-all update, but welcome

Another bug corrected, the one which hindered payments via the NFC chip for certain users, as well as a glitch observed on the interface when adjusting the volume (two volume sliders appeared unexpectedly on the screen). We also know that this update resolves the abnormal absence of vibrations during certain calls, but also the appearance of a black screen during gameplay when certain games were launched on the OnePlus 10T.

As mentioned above, Oxygen OS 14.0.0.700 is currently being deployed. Understand by this that this version is not necessarily available to all OnePlus 10T users at the time of writing these lines. To find out if your device has already inherited the sesame, simply go to the settings, then in the “About device” tab, select OxygenOS, then click on check for updates .

In any case, it is appreciable to see that OnePlus still carefully supports its 10T on the software level almost two years after its launch.
