During its Cloud 11 event, OnePlus has finally formalized the release of its first foldable smartphone for this year, more precisely for the third quarter. We still know little about the latter, except that it could come out in two versions, the V Fold and V Flip, and that it would be inspired by the folding Oppo.
It’s an old joke that is finally about to come true. Rumors have been circulating around a hypothetical foldable smartphone from OnePlus for several years. On many occasions, we believed in an imminent announcement, before the principal concerned canceled at the last moment. But this time, there it is, it’s official. Last night, during its Cloud 11 conference, the Chinese manufacturer confirmed that its first collapsible will be unveiled this year.
It was a busy night for OnePlus. The event was of course the occasion to launch the OnePlus 11 on the global markets, but the spectators were spoiled with several other announcements. After numerous leaks, the OnePlus Pad has finally revealed itself to the eyes of the world, signing the firm’s entry into the tablet market. Another novelty for this one, the Keyboard 81 is also its first mechanical keyboard. Never two without three, as they say.
The OnePlus V Fold will be unveiled in the 3rd quarter of 2023
Indeed, the conference was also marked by an announcement that we no longer expected: yes, the OnePlus does exist and yes, it will be released in 2023. More precisely, we will have to expect a presentation in the third quarter of this year. For more information, we will have to wait a little longer.

At this stage, it is even impossible to know how many models will be offered for sale. One thing is certain, the manufacturer has already planned the coup by filing the names “OnePlus V Fold” and “OnePlus V Flip”, suggesting that the latter will take up Samsung’s formula in the matter. But it is not known if these two versions will be launched at the same time.
Some sources say, however, that we could end up in the presence of a product similar to the Oppo Find N, which is not surprising given the link between the two companies. So be patient, coming soon.
