OnePlus does not lose its good habits. Accustomed to unveiling its new products in small touches at the dawn of their launch, the brand is starting to show its 10T model on its forum. Information that complements the announcement of its presentation date – August 3 – and that of its ambitions. “We are sure that the OnePlus 10T will satisfy anyone looking for the ultimate performance”said Pete Lau, CEO of OnePlus, last week, specifying that the smartphone would be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip.
However, it is the photo capabilities of the device that we now know in more detail thanks to a publication on the brand’s forum. And it should be noted from the outset that OnePlus’ partnership with the equipment manufacturer Hasselblad, at work on the OnePlus 10 Pro, remains reserved for it. The 10T, a variation of a OnePlus 10 which never saw the light of day, is intended to be a little more modest. It will therefore be equipped with Sony’s IMX766 sensor, already seen for example on the ultra-wide-angle module of the OnePlus 9 Pro, and with a definition of 50 megapixels. Remember that the 10 Pro relies on a 48-megapixel IMX789.

The main sensor of the 10T will be flanked by a wide-angle, will offer optical and electronic stabilization and will support the sensor in 10 bits. If the partnership with Hasselblad is not in order, OnePlus boasts of its new image processing algorithm, called ICE (Image Clarity Engine)”, which it promises that it will “allows the device to capture photos faster and with a higher level of detail”. This main module will be accompanied by a second sensor with an ultra wide-angle at 119.9°, whose definition OnePlus does not specify, and by a macro module, probably 2 megapixels. All this will be confirmed during a conference to be held in New York on August 3 at 4 p.m. (French time).
