You have a screen problem with your OnePlus, but it is no longer under warranty? Well, don’t panic: there is now a solution.

Well, not for everyone, unfortunately…

In India, OnePlus will repair the screen problems of its smartphones for free

If you own a OnePlus smartphone, then you probably know that devices from the Chinese manufacturer are sometimes hit with a screen problem. OLED panels can indeed, after a certain time, be crossed by a particularly annoying vertical green line. Unfortunately, this line is permanent, and there is no way to make it go away, unless, of course, you have the screen replaced. Except that, since the device is generally no longer under warranty when the problem occurs, owners of OnePlus smartphones have massively started to complain about the situation.

Obviously listening to its customers, OnePlus has just announced that it will now take care of this screen problem, including when the device is no longer under warranty. The brand will more specifically replace the screen for the users concerned. This means that you will no longer have to pay a penny to have your screen replaced with a brand new panel. The company also says that owners of OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 9 hit by this problem will be able to benefit from an upgrade voucher to a newer device.

Unfortunately, these benefits are currently only available to customers residing in India. Hopefully, however, this policy will be applied to other countries in the future, although India remains among the most important markets for OnePlus.
