OnePlus has been expected for years in the segment of touch pads, rumors emerging here and there every year. But with sister brand Oppo’s recent foray into that same market, things were bound to come to fruition quickly. The OnePlus Pad, some of whose secrets have been rumored in recent days, is now official. And it’s not an entry-level model, the manufacturer flexing its muscles from the start.

The Pad (not a very original name…) is therefore distinguished by a solid technical sheet. It includes an 11.61-inch screen, the technology of which the manufacturer does not specify – in other words, it is therefore LCD – with a refresh rate of 144 Hz. The latter is new on touchscreen tablets, as well as is its 7:5 aspect ratio. OnePlus evokes a neat design including a 2.5D panel, as on smartphones, but also borders reduced to 6.54 mm and an aluminum alloy chassis. On the back, there is a single photo module with a 13 megapixel sensor, while a second 8 Mpx sits at the front.

It is the Dimensity 9000 chip, a high-end reference from MediaTek, which powers the Pad. This chipsets clocked at 3.05 GHz is accompanied by 8 to 12 GB of RAM, which announces good performance for gamers and multimedia enthusiasts. On the battery side, OnePlus relies on a capacity of 9510 mAh and a fast charge at 67 W, stamped SuperVOOC (the Oppo brand). Everything will run on Android 13 with OxygenOS.

With a keyboard and stylus

The OnePlus Pad, more comparable on paper to a Lenovo Tab P11 Pro (2nd Gen) than to an Oppo Pad, will be delivered with accessories that signal its ambitions: a stylus called OnePlus Stylo and a magnetic keyboard, aka the Magnetic Keyboard . All this should have a relatively high price, which the brand is however careful to deliver today. She promises to say more in the coming weeks, and to open pre-orders in April.
