The mid-range is becoming a little more interesting again, because after Samsung unveiled its Galaxy A smartphones, OnePlus is now also following with two mid-range phones. The OnePlus Nord 2T and OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite convince with a good price-performance ratio.
Two new OnePlus smartphones introduced
If you are looking for a mid-range smartphone, you could also take a look at OnePlus. The Chinese company has officially unveiled the Nord 2T and Nord CE 2 Lite. Both smartphones support 5G. That Nord 2T is sold from 399 euros (view on Amazon) while that Nord CE 2 Lite at 299 euros (look at Amazon) is coming. Both OnePlus smartphones are poaching in the price league of the Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A33. But what do you get for the price?
OnePlus Nord 2T with 80 watt fast charging
As expected, nothing has changed with the display. A 90 Hz panel is still installed. The inner values have been upgraded for this. This includes a MediaTek Dimensity 1300, which is said to offer high performance with up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory. The 4,500 mAh battery is a bit smaller than Samsung’s, but that’s what it’s for OnePlus 10 Pro’s 80-watt fast charge feature. The company even includes the power adapter.
Other features include a 50 MP main camera, 8 MP ultra wide angle and a 2 MP mono lens. Android 12 is preinstalled directly. There is also an update guarantee. But that only amounts to 2 Android upgrades and 3 years of security updates. Here Samsung is much further with 4 new Android versions and 5 years of security updates.

OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite with 120Hz display
Curiously, the cheaper OnePlus is the Nord CE 2 Lite equipped with a 120 Hz display. But it is only an LC display. The processor used here is the Snapdragon 695, which has 6 GB and 128 GB of internal memory. The 5,000 mAh battery is very large and can be charged quickly with up to 33 watts. The power supply is also included here. The main camera has a resolution of 64 MP.
Interestingly, here you can Expand internal storage with a microSD card. You won’t find that anywhere else with OnePlus. There is also a 3.5 mm jack socket. The same update guarantee also applies here.
