OnePlus was working on a foldable smartphone with an air of deja vu

According to several sources in Asia, OnePlus is currently fine-tuning its very first foldable smartphone. And it should be a very close cousin of the Oppo Find N.

When you have a cousin as powerful and innovative as Oppo, it’s normal to want to look like him. This is what greatly boosts OnePlus, a member of the same BBK Electronics family.

The two smartphone manufacturers have long shared common attractions, even similarities. And this should still be the case with the next project initiated by OnePlus.

Towards a clone of the Oppo Find N

According to the Pricebaba site, informed by leaker Yogesh Brar, an often well-informed source from the 91Mobiles site, the Shenzhen firm is currently working on its very first foldable device. And if we finally learn little about the famous foldable smartphone, we just know that it should look very similar to the Oppo Find N, unveiled in mid-December last.

And this device made a strong impression at its presentation, with its more compact format than Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold, but a really wide screen in front and no visible crease inside.

Very close rapprochement with Pete Lau’s OnePlus, who has become responsible for the development and innovation of the two brands, Oppo would therefore have let his neighbor draw his inspiration from the side of his foldable screen device.

And according to Yogesh Brar, like other smartphones from the two fairly twin brands in the past or with similar partnerships (Hasselblad for the photo in particular), the first version of the foldable device with the OnePlus logo will have to take up a fairly similar design and the specs of the Find N, with arguably some very premium points left to the first to appear.
