Funny launch slot, but OnePlus has chosen April 1 to launch its new OnePlus Nord CE 4. Through a press release, the Chinese manufacturer confirmed that it will unveil its next mid-range smartphone. range in less than a month, but also that the device would be equipped with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor.

This chip, also mid-range, should allow the Nord CE 4 to gain significantly in performance compared to the Snapdragon 782G which powered its predecessor. Announced last November, and already installed on board the Vivo V30, the new Qualcomm chip includes a Kryo CPU part structured around a main core (at 2.63 GHz), three high-performance cores (at 2.4 GHz) and four high-efficiency cores (at 1.8 GHz).

It is supposed to offer 15% more CPU power, but also a 50% increase in GPU performance, while consuming 20% less energy compared to the SoC of the OnePlus Nord CE 3 launched last year.

OnePlus Nord CE 4: what to expect?

Anyway, the OnePlus Nord CE 4 has already (a little) revealed itself. OnePlus has indeed shared a first visual of the product, available above. We discover the back of the smartphone, the vertical arrangement of its photo sensors and one of the two colors (“Celadon Marble”) announced. A “Dark Chrome” version is also planned, the manufacturer confirmed.

The technical sheet of the OnePlus Nord CE 4, however, remains shrouded in mystery at this stage. A leak had predicted that the device would feature a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, coupled with 100W charging technology, but without giving us much more information. We do know, however, that OnePlus is also working on launching a “non-CE” OnePlus Nord 4, which would benefit from more high-end specifications. We will probably see more clearly next month.
