Onimusha: Capcom’s license is back… but with an anime

Among the licenses that we haven’t seen for a while at Capcomwe find Onimushaalthough the series recently got a remaster named Onimusha: Warlords. Unfortunately, this new edition of the first game has not, for the moment, heralded a return to form for the license, even if we still hope that a Capcom team is secretly working on a new game. here, the publisher intends to use this brand in one way or another, and this will first go through the production of an anime.

In line with the Dragon’s Dogma series

Capcom is once again teaming up with Netflix to produce an anime Onimushawhich will arrive on the SVOD platform at an indefinite period.

This series will be produced by the Sublimation studiowhich is precisely well known to Capcom and Netflix, since it was also found behind the anime Dragon’s Dogma. As a director, it’s Shinya Sugai who is at the helm and who actually worked on the series Dragon’s Dogmawhile the character of Musashi Miyamoto will be fashioned from the features of the legendary actor Toshihiro Mifune.

Like Capcom’s previous series, Onimusha will adopt a style with 3D CGIwhich will undoubtedly make some teeth cringe, given that this technology is not often well exploited.

No trailer has been unveiled, but we are entitled to some first images visible below.
