OnLeaks confirms that we already knew the design

OnLeaks is already unveiling renderings of the Google Pixel 7a. The future smartphone does not bode great creativity in terms of design.

Good news for those who are waiting for the release of the Google Pixel 7a to consider changing smartphones for a moderate price. OnLeaks unveils, in partnership with Smartpricehigh-quality renderings of the future smartphone.

Unsurprisingly, the Google Pixel 7a should largely take over the aesthetics of the Pixel 7 with, among other things, a rear photo block that crosses the entire width of the smartphone to house two cameras and a flash. The elongated block of the Pixel 7a seems metallic (like on the Pixel 7) and slightly protruding.

Thus, this device would adopt the same strategy as its predecessor. The Google Pixel 6a already looked a lot like the Pixel 6.

What to expect for the Google Pixel 7a

In addition, according to information from OnLeaks – which it collects from sources within the industry – the Google Pixel 7a would have dimensions of 52.4 x 72.9 x 9.0 mm (or 10 .1 mm including the photo block). It’s almost identical to 6a. In short, you will have understood, the Mountain View firm would continue to be quite conservative and would not seek to reinvent the wheel.

Remember that this was not always the case. Google often changed design quite drastically from one smartphone to another. But since the Pixel 6, the American giant seems satisfied with the aesthetic DNA it has found.

We can’t see a 3.5 mm jack on the renderings, which suggests that there won’t be one on the final product. Conversely, we can already see other elements such as the USB-C port at the bottom, next to the speaker grille. Same story for the unlock and volume buttons clearly visible on the right edge, opposite the SIM drawer.

We won’t be able to get much more out of these renders. However, be aware that, according to the latest news, the Google Pixel 7a should have a Full HD + screen at 90 Hz. This would be a nice improvement over the 6a. It is also rumored that it would benefit from wireless charging. But this information should be taken with a grain of salt.
