After the cast of “Only Murders in the Building” already said yes to a third season of the Hulu series, Selena Gomez appears to be tying the knot on the show as well. At least if you believe the Twitter pictures with her co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short.

The official account of the streaming service Hulu tweeted about one of the pictures “Only fathers of the bride in the building?”. This may be a reference to the 1991 film Father of the Bride, which both Steve Martin and Martin Short starred in.
The official Only Murders in the Building Twitter channel also shared a picture of Gomez in the wedding dress. They also posted the lyrics to the song “Ceilings” by Lizzy Mcalpine, which went viral on TikTok.

Of course, Mabel in the wedding dress could be a ruse, knowingly distracting us from something much bigger. There’s a good chance that Selena Gomez aka Mabel is wearing the dress for Oliver’s (Martin Short) theatrical performance. But maybe it’s also a skillful diversionary tactic to catch the killer of the new season?
So far, the series creators have only given us a few clues that suggest the plot of the new episodes. The end of Season 2 saw us as the show’s next murder victim, Paul Rudd as Ben Glenroy. The actor dies during the premiere of Oliver’s Broadway play.
Season 3 is supposed to show how the murder happened, but apart from a few pictures and insights from the teaser, we still know very little. The wedding pictures are the first indications of the possible plot of the new episodes. Even if we don’t quite want to believe that there is nothing more than a classic wedding behind it.
Season 3 “Only Murders in the Building” is scheduled to start in Germany in 2023 on Disney +.
