Opel Corsa Electric: more than a new face

Opel today lifts the veil on the mid-career restyling of its historic city car. For this new vintage, the Corsa takes on the Vizor grille, this characteristic front face of the brand, adopted by all new Opel. The black band covers the front and integrates the grille of the vehicle, the LED headlights and in the center, as well as the Opel logo in lightning into a single element.

Depending on the trim level, said logo on the front and rear is presented in black or matte satin silver. The fictitious air intakes in the lower part of the front bumper are larger and more pronounced than before, which allows the Corsa to establish its silhouette on the road.

Intelli-Lux matrix lighting changes to 14 LED segments instead of eight, while a new panoramic reversing camera integrates the assistance panel to add to adaptive cruise control or forward collision alert with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection.

Inside, the design changes a little with a new design of the gear lever and the steering wheel, as well as new patterns for the seats. The all-digital dashboard (optional) has a slightly overhauled infotainment under Snapdragon Cockpit, with graphics and an OS a priori revamped. In addition, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can be connected wirelessly.

Two new features under the hood. The Opel Corsa will be the first car from the manufacturer to receive a 48 V hybrid engine. 156 hp (eMotors, born from Nidec and PSA) powered by a 54 kWh battery for a range of 402 km, compared to 357 km for the previous version. However, the charging time remains 30 min to go from 20 to 80%.
