The filmmaker tackles the successful actor, in particular about the Nahel affair, the star ofUntouchables paying tribute to the 17-year-old teenager, killed by a policeman in Nanterre. “The French cop who risks his life earns in a year what you receive in 30 seconds of acting. Your last annual income: 3.4 million euros in Hollywood”, can we read again. Words that made the buzz on the web. So, faced with the growing controversy, Olivier Marchal was forced to speak in a video to restore the truth: no, he is not the author of this open letter to the charge. His wife Catherine Marchal published on Twitter on Sunday July 2, 2023 a video of her husband speaking in front of the camera: “I just wanted to tell everyone that I didn’t write this, that these are people whose attitude and personality I cannot describe. If I have something to say to Omar Sy I will say it to his face.” That is clear.

A 2-minute video, in which the 64-year-old director adds: “I don’t apologize to anyone. I have my right to think, it belongs to me, in any case the right to puke such ignominies does not belong to me.
