Opening Paris: hesitant investors


THE TREND

(Boursier.com) — The CAC40 is hesitant this morning: an opening almost identical to yesterday’s closing, at 6,731.34 points for yesterday’s closing level of 6,731.37 points… It is still almost stable at 9:30 a.m., having fallen slightly during the first 30 minutes of trading. The Parisian index, however, remains above 6,700 points.

Caution returns, while the price of a barrel of oil has rebounded strongly. Regarding the war in Ukraine, Western countries, citing war crimes by Russian forces, are preparing to adopt further sanctions against Moscow, which could cause a further spike in commodity prices and consequently increase pressure on central banks to act against inflation.
