In the early hours of Wednesday morning, the Klagenfurt professional fire brigade had to respond to three garbage container fires. According to initial investigations, the crimes were committed willfully.
Between 4.30 a.m. and 5.20 a.m. there were a total of three garbage container fires in the city of Klagenfurt. The fire in the first two containers had hardly been extinguished when the Klagenfurt fire brigade had to move out to Hubertusstraße for another job. “The metal container there was probably set on fire with an accelerant and partially burned out,” says a police officer. The amount of damage incurred has not yet been determined. The investigation into the perpetrators is ongoing.
