(AOF) – “The OPM project generates very great confidence”. This is the message that Oncodesign Precision Medicine, a company resulting in 2022 from the split from Oncodesign, wanted to convey during a press conference organized in Paris on December 5, 2023. Specialist in the research of new therapy molecules targeted particularly in oncology, OPM now brings together the group’s biotech and AI assets, the service activities having been sold. The company highlights the clinical progress of its two flagship projects, OPM 101 and OPM 102.
OPM 101, OPM’s No. 1 priority, focuses on IBD (chronic inflammatory bowel diseases) while OPM 102 focuses on oncology.
“We are underrated,” declared boss Philippe Genne, recalling that his company “returned” in 2022 to the Euronext Growth market where the Oncodesign group from which it came was previously listed. He emphasizes that this market gives “visibility” to OPM even if it is not very active. OPM’s stock price has significantly outperformed the Next Biotech index since October 2022 (+172% over the period).
For its part, Oncodesign Services, bringing together the service activities of Oncodesign, and initially listed on Euronext Growth, was delisted in December 2022 after its purchase by Edmond de Rothschild’s Eres IV fund.
OPM underlines that the pharmaceutical industry appears “clearly looking for opportunities” as evidenced by the acquisition of Prometheus by Merck after that of Arena by Pfizer, or Sanofi’s collaboration agreement with Teva. OPM highlights its “true culture of partnerships” with notably Servier, Ipsen, BMS and Sanofi.
