Oppo does not lag behind: the Find X5 Pro and Find N are entitled to Android 13

Android 13 is still in development, and some manufacturers are quick to jump on it, even in beta. This is the case of Oppo, which has already adapted its ColorOS overlay on Android 13 beta 1 for two of its flagship smartphones.

If Google remains one step ahead (the company has announced the arrival of beta 2 of Android 13 on its Pixels), Oppo intends to be in the forefront of manufacturers offering their users to switch to the latest version of Android. We learn that the Oppo Find X5 Pro and Oppo Find N will be among the very first smartphones to run Android 13, in its beta 1.

Andy Wu, vice-president of Oppo in charge of the Find range, boasts as such a “long-standing close collaboration with Google […] to deliver the best operating system experience possible with ColorOS”, its proprietary overlay. He also insists that the Oppo Find N will be the very first folding smartphone running Android 13. “Working with Google, we are able to combine industry-leading hardware and an unparalleled software experience in the growing folding smartphone market”says Pete Lau, product manager.

As a reminder, Android 13 emphasizes data privacy and system security, in addition to a whole bunch of small improvements and new features related to customization (quick settings tiles, language management per application, etc.). The new system may make even more sense on the Oppo Find N, as it provides improvements and new features for smartphones with very large screens, for example with regard to multitasking.

During its test, the Oppo Find X5 Pro (rated 5 stars) convinced us thanks to its excellent screen, its ultra wide-angle photo panel, its very good autonomy and its very (very) fast charging.
