It’s hard not to physically compare the Enco Air2 to the 2nd generation AirPods as the resemblance is great. Oppo’s earbuds feature the AirPods family’s iconic white lacquer finish and signature stem design. Only a few small touches here and there, such as the translucent lid of the case, betray their belonging to the Oppo range. The diminutive “Air” takes on its full meaning here since the Enco Air2 weigh only 3.5 g per earphone, i.e. an almost unprecedented weight for this type of product. They should therefore be very comfortable, like Apple’s 2nd generation AirPods.

Despite this featherweight, the Enco Air2 have large 13.4 mm speakers that are supposed to offer “deep, powerful bass, crystal-clear mids and brilliant highs”. The acoustic chamber has also been enlarged compared to the first Enco Air in order to provide fuller and deeper bass. Different listening profiles (Bass Boost and Clear Vocals) have also been developed by Oppo to allow the user to customize the sound reproduction as they wish.

On the connectivity side, the Enco Air2 are equipped with a Bluetooth 5.2 chip and are compatible with the SBC and AAC codecs. They also support quick pairing with devices running ColorOS 11.0 and above. A Game mode can also be activated with your fingertips to reduce latency to 80 ms, according to Oppo. The Chinese firm also says it has improved the quality of the hands-free kit on these headphones, in particular by incorporating a noise reduction system.

Oppo promises 4 hours of battery life per charge with five additional charges thanks to the case. It will be possible to access various settings and information through the HeyMelody app, but only on Android devices. The Enco Air2 are already available at a price of €69.99.
