The future Oppo Watch 4 Pro will benefit from an electrocardiogram and a temperature sensor, like the models from Apple and Samsung.
Oppo may have withdrawn from the French market, but the Chinese manufacturer continues to offer certain products, in particular connected watches. The firm notably launched its Oppo Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro watches last year, during the month of August, and is now preparing to officially unveil its new Oppo Watch 4 Pro.
As reported by the site GSMArena, Oppo has indeed started to communicate on its next connected watch on the Chinese social network Weibo. In a publication posted on August 17, the manufacturer unveiled part of the design, but also components of the Oppo Watch 4 Pro.
As was already the case with last year’s Oppo Watch 3, the Watch 4 Pro will thus be one of the few connected watches on the market to benefit from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5 Gen1 chip. This chip will also be backed by a BES 2700 co-processor, a priori used to manage the least demanding tasks in terms of power such as always-on display or heart rate measurement.
Electrocardiogram and temperature sensor
The watch should also integrate a heart rate monitor to measure heart rate, but would go further in health measures. Oppo announces that its Oppo Watch 4 Pro will be able to perform electrocardiograms, as is already the case with Apple Watch connected watches or Samsung Galaxy Watches. A temperature sensor is also provided, again as on the models from Samsung and Apple.
The Oppo Watch 4 Pro will also retain the rectangular format of the manufacturer’s previous watches. On the screen side, you will have to rely on an Amoled LTPO screen allowing a variable refresh rate, practical for always-on display.
It is not yet known when Oppo will formalize its next Oppo Watch 4 Pro connected watch. Last year, the Oppo Watch 3 Pro was presented at the beginning of August. We can therefore expect an imminent announcement… at least in China. Remember that Oppo has withdrawn from the French market. While it is still possible to import the brand’s products or buy them from certain retailers, there is no indication that the manufacturer’s future products will be able to benefit from an international launch, particularly in Europe.
