While the world of blockchain
and the NFT

Intel continues to enter the cryptocurrency market. After processors designed for Ethereum miners, the tech giant will ship its first chip dedicated to bitcoin mining and the like later this year. Among the first customers, Argo, GRIID and especially Block, the company led by Jack Dorsey, co-founder of Twitter. Aware that the approach will be decried, Intel promises a solution to improve the energy consumption of mining activities. The company advertises performance per watt more than 1000 times better than traditional GPUs to speed up blockchain tasks.

We are aware that some blockchain technologies require enormous computing power, which unfortunately translates into an immense amount of energy. Our customers demand scalable and sustainable solutions, which is why we develop more energy-efficient technologies at scale said Raja M. Koduri, senior vice president at Intel, in a statement.
