Oppo’s best smartphone will adopt an atypical design, proof in images

Several weeks before its official launch, we already know part of the design of Oppo’s next high-end smartphone, the Find X7 Pro. A stolen photo appeared on social media, revealing the back of the device.

Find X7 Pro

With its Find X6 Pro last year, Oppo had considerably modified its strategy. After using efficient but fairly compact photo sensors in its high-end devices up to the Find X5 Pro, which we were able to test, the Chinese manufacturer had instead opted for huge cameras on its Find X6 Pro.

This resulted in a significant improvement in the smartphone’s photo performance, but unfortunately we were unable to judge for ourselves, as Oppo had decided not to market the device here.

The Find X7 Pro is already revealed before its time

Before the official release of the Find X7 Pro, we now know what the smartphone will look like thanks to a stolen photo posted on Chinese social networks. We discover a phone equipped with a gigantic photo module, as was the case on the previous model, but the latter now takes a very different form.

Rather than a circular photo module, Oppo would have opted this year for an octagonal photo module. The latter protrudes a lot from the smartphone, and will certainly not please many users. This would not be the first smartphone with such a shape on the back, since Huawei has been using this for several years on its high-end Mate series smartphones, but we can see that Oppo will use huge sensors.

There should be 4 cameras, with no less than 2 telephoto lenses. We would find a 50 MP LYT900 main sensor (1 inch) new generation signed Sony, a sensor 50 MP ultra wide angle IMX890a captor 50 MP telephoto lens IMX890 offering a 2.7X optical zoom as well as a 50 MP IMX858 periscope offering 6X optical zoom. The photo configuration therefore promises to be much more versatile and efficient than the previous generation, but we will obviously have to wait for the tests before confirming this. We do not yet know whether or not the smartphone will be launched in France, but given Oppo’s problems in Europe in recent months, we imagine that the smartphone will once again be reserved for China.
