Oppo’s Reno 8 series of smartphones will be presented on May 23

The wait won’t be very long, at least for the Chinese market. The brand announces on the Weibo social network the presentation of a new Reno 8 series on May 23. The range should include at least two models, the Reno 8 and 8 Pro, and perhaps as a bonus a declination stamped SE. Remember that whatever the announcements next week, they will only concern the Chinese market. It will probably be necessary to wait until the start of the school year, that is to say a year after the release of the Reno 6, to discover these devices in France with possible modifications to the radius of the technical characteristics.

Rumors are rife about the technical data sheet of the Reno 8. The announcement of a Qualcomm conference on May 20 points to the integration of a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip, probably in the central model of the range, the Reno 8 Pro being rather expected with a Dimensity 8100 chipset. The integration of the MariSilicon X image processing chip, inaugurated on the Find X5 Pro series, is also mentioned, as is that of fast charging at 80 W view on these different devices and a screen refresh rate of 120 Hz. The Reno 8 SE would be the most affordable variant of the series, skipping the MariSilicon X and relying on a Dimensity 1300 , however it is also compatible with 5G.
