Oprah Winfrey mourns the loss of her father. The TV presenter announced on Instagram that he had died at the age of 88.
Oprah Winfrey (68) mourns the loss of her father Vernon (1933-2022). Like the US television legend on Saturday shared on her Instagram account, he died on Friday at the age of 88. “Less than a week ago we honored my father in his backyard,” Winfrey said. A gospel singer performed and Winfrey’s father “felt love and reveled in it until he could no longer speak”.
“Yesterday, surrounded by my family by his bedside, I had the privilege of watching the man responsible for my life draw his last breath,” Oprah Winfrey continued. “We could feel peace taking over the space as he left.”
