(CercleFinance.com) – BlackRock, the world’s number one asset manager, crossed upwards and then downwards the threshold of 5% of the capital of Orange, according to an opinion from the Autorité des marchés financiers ( AMF) broadcast this Monday.

BlackRock, acting on behalf of clients and the funds it manages, first exceeded the 5% threshold on July 12 to hold 133.85 million shares, or 5.03% of the capital and 4.28% of voting rights.

The American asset manager informed the AMF that this threshold crossing resulted from an increase in the number of shares held as collateral.

On July 13, the New York company fell below the 5% capital threshold to control only 125.9 million shares, i.e. 4.73% of the capital and 4.02% of the voting rights. , again due to a change in the number of shares held as collateral.
