Fiat has just announced the opening of orders for the Fiat Topolino in France this Wednesday, November 15, 2023. According to the Italian brand, French customers will be able to reserve the electric cart online from November 21. As expected, the Topolino is a little more expensive than the Citroën AMI.
During its presentation at the beginning of July 2023, the Fiat Topolino caused a sensation. Far from being a simple clone of the Citroën AMI like the Opel Rocks-e, the Italian electric car marks its difference by offering a unique exterior design. You only need to look at the quadricycle for a few moments to see the many points in common with the legendary Fiat 500 from 1936.

According to the manufacturer, the Topolino was designed as a modern homage to this iconic model. It must be recognized that the result is very successful, the Topolino having much more character than other electric carts on the market. Let us point out, however, that if the exterior is different, Fiat’s latest model is based on the same technical base as the Citroën AMI (both brands are part of the Stellantis group).
In other words, the performance is identical: range of 75 km and maximum speed of 45 km/h. There is still a 5.5 kWh battery while recharging takes place from a domestic socket in 4 hours. The quadricycle offers 2 seats and 63 liters of storage in its two versions: the classic Topolino and the Dolce Vita edition. This convertible version has a roll-up canvas roof, while the doors have been removed in favor of simple ropes. A sign that this version is primarily intended for summer use, let’s say, it is possible to add an optional shower at the back.
From €8,990 in France
Additionally, users can also get five additional accessoriess such as a travel bag, a USB fan, a Bluetooth speaker, an insulated bottle and two seat covers that can be transformed into beach towels. The price of the Fiat Topolino still remained the big unknown, despite its launch in Italy.
This is no longer the case. According to the latest press release from Fiat, the two versions of the Topolino are now available in France at the same price of €8,990ecological bonus of €900 included. Or €1,000 more than the Citroën AMI excluding bonus (€7,990). For the most modest budgets, it is possible to opt for a long-term rental offer (LDD) displayed at €59 per month. The contract runs for three years or 15,000 kilometers. No contribution is necessary and there are no return conditions. Orders will begin on November 21 on the Fiat website, with the possibility of having the vehicle delivered to your home.
