Bring one tip to the diagonally opposite tip, creating a triangle.

Fold the triangle in half.

Cut out two smaller pieces of paper from a different colored piece of paper and glue them to the ears of the origami animal.

Bring one point of the square to the diagonally opposite point.

Fold the triangle in half and then unfold it again.

Stack the paper in the middle and push the sides up.

Flatten the origami animal and then rotate it 45 degrees to the right.

Fold the top left tip over so that it sticks out on the other side as a beak.

With some orange and red paper you can emphasize the tip of the beak and glue on a cockscomb. Draw an eye with the felt pen and your origami animal is ready.
