Orpea announces an overhaul of its board with Guillaume Pepy at its head

PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–The operator of retirement homes Orpea announced on Sunday evening a major renewal of its board of directors, with the intention of appointing the former CEO of SNCF, Guillaume Pepy, as President.

The group, in turmoil since the publication of the investigative book “Les Fossoyeurs”, will propose to its shareholders to appoint five new directors, including Guillaume Pepy, at its general meeting on July 28. If his appointment is approved, the former head of the SNCF will take over the chairmanship of the board of directors and will thus succeed Philippe Charrier, who has chosen to put an end to his term of office as director. Philippe Charrier also acted as interim CEO of Orpea from February to June.

The managing director, Laurent Guillot, who took office on July 1, will also be proposed as a director at the general meeting.

Orpea will also propose to appoint David Hale, managing director of the pharmaceutical group Guerbet, Isabelle Calvez, human resources director of the community services company Veolia, as well as John Glen, former president of the manufacturer of pens, razors and lighters, as directors. bic.

“It is also expected that two new directors, who will have the status of independent directors, will join the new board of directors when they are released from their current obligations”, announced Orpea. “Communication will be made in due course,” the group added.
