Orpea: justice must deliver its verdict on the disputed professional elections


Arc-en-Ciel, the majority trade union organization, is accused by the CGT, the CFDT and FO of being a “house union”, under the orders of the management of Orpea France. The Court of Puteaux will rule this Thursday on the validity of the 2019 elections.

The CGT, the CFDT and FO had filed a complaint in February against the group of private nursing homes Orpea, which they accuse of having relied on a union “homeat his command, namely Arc-en-Ciel. The local court of Puteaux (Hauts-de-Seine) must deliver its verdict this Thursday. He will rule on the validity of the 2019 professional elections within Orpea France.

In the June 25, 2019 ballot, Arc-en-Ciel won nearly 60% of the vote, ahead of the CGT (14.2%) and the UNSA, just above the 10% mark.
