PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–The operator of retirement homes Orpea announced on Thursday that it had signed an agreement to sell a portfolio of 32 retirement homes in the Netherlands for an amount of approximately 125 million euros.
Orpea has signed this agreement with the Dutch real estate investment company Syntrus Achmea Real Estate & Finance, acting on behalf of the Achmea Dutch Health Care Property Fund (ADHCPF).
“The completion of these real estate disposals remains subject to the usual conditions precedent and should take place by the end of 2022,” Orpea said in a statement.
“This operation will contribute to the respect of the commitments made under the credit agreement signed by the group on June 13, 2022 which provides in particular for a program of disposals of real estate assets of one billion euros by the end of 2023, increased to 2 billion euros by the end of 2025”, also underlined the company.
