Unveiled during IGN Summer of Gaming, ORX is now available in early access. Published by CRITICAL REFLEX and developed by johnbell, the game is playable on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
ORX is a tower defense game that mixes game mechanics. You will find there the codes of board games as well as deck-building all in a universe of dark fantasy. The goal is simple, yet addictive. Expand your castle, expand your territory and defend it against the ruthless Orc hordes trying to overrun you.
The game takes place in the form of a roguelike campaign that is played in four acts during which you will unlock new cards to play. In total, it’s more than 300 cards that can help you strengthen your defenses against the invader. But be careful because your deck won’t be the only one to gain in power, and your enemies will get tougher and tougher over time.
During early access, two factions are playable, each with its particularities. All that remains is to choose the one that best suits your style of play. The Rune Keepers will be perfect for players betting on defense. As for the Dune Revers, their motto is “the best defense is attack”.
