Victoria of Sweden has to cope with a separation in her environment. Her cousin Oscar Magnuson got divorced on October 4th.

Divorce in the Swedish Royal Family: How The Swedish newspaper “Expressen” reports that Crown Princess Victoria’s cousin (46) has separated from his wife Emma. Oscar Magnusen was married to her for eleven years.

“Better for us”

He confirmed the end of the marriage to the newspaper: “We have decided to go our separate ways.” The couple is said to have separated last year. After a six-month period of reflection, the official divorce took place on Wednesday (October 4th).

The two remain connected through their two sons. Oscar Magnuson also emphasizes: “We are good friends and continue to have a good relationship with each other. We have decided that it is better for us. Things like that happen in life.”

The couple were married for eleven years and have children Albert and Henri together. The family was often present at royal occasions such as christenings and weddings. Oscar Magnuson is one of Princess Christina’s three sons (80). She is the sister of King Carl XVI. Gustaf (77) and therefore Victoria’s aunt.
