As soon as the Oscars are over, the preparations for the next edition begin. That is already known.
The date for the presentation of the 95th Academy Awards has been set: The Oscars will take place on Sunday, March 12, 2023. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences did and the broadcaster ABC announces. The event will again be broadcast from the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles to more than 200 countries worldwide.
While the venue and procedure remain the same, the date is set earlier than this year. This is possible because no other major events will get in the way of the Oscars in 2023.
Other dates of the Oscar year 2023
The high point of the film year is preceded by a series of events, starting on November 19 with the Governors Awards. These honor actors and directors for their life’s work.
In December there is the vote on the Oscar shortlists, which will be announced on December 21st. Then there is a second round of voting. All those filmmakers who are nominated for an Academy Award will then be presented on January 24th. The jury will choose the winners from March 2nd to 7th. March 12 will show who wins the race.
