Since 2002, the nominees have been given gifts worth over 100,000 francs. This year also a trip to Switzerland.

For several years now, the Academy Awards gift packages have been like the Oscar trophies up for grabs. They are filled with prizes that have a total value in the six-figure range. This year, what is probably the classiest goodie bag in the world also includes three nights in Switzerland – in the best ski chalet in the world.

All nominees win

When the Oscars are presented in Hollywood on March 10th, joy and disappointment will collide. To counteract the latter, the so-called “Everybody Wins” packages have been distributed since 2002. These are put together by the marketing company Distinctive Assets and were worth around 110,000 francs last year. Only the 25 nominees in the main categories will receive the exclusive gift baskets.

In 2024, you can look forward to, among other things, a voucher for three nights in the Chalet Zermatt Peak. The luxury home was recently named the best ski chalet in the world. The prices for an overnight stay are between 7,000 and 9,000 francs per night in summer, and in winter you pay up to 14,000 francs. It boasts a view over the entire village and the Matterhorn, elegant interiors and a spa area.

The best films as chocolates

With the contents of such a package you could probably survive on a deserted island for a few days without any problems. They also include clothing, fine food and snacks, wine and tequila. Last year there was even a piece of Australian land as a gift.

Another highlight already known for this year: a special chocolate assortment, created by Scottish chocolatier Fiona McArthur, which honors the best films of the last year.

What else the filmmakers receive is largely unknown. In recent years, the contents of the “Everybody Wins” bags have been shown shortly after the award ceremony.

The village in Valais can now prepare for one or two visits from Hollywood.
