OSCE says some of its monitors are being held in eastern Ukraine

ZURICH, April 23 (Reuters) – The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) said on Saturday it was trying to secure the release of some members of its special monitoring mission held in eastern Ukraine.

“The OSCE is extremely concerned that a number of members of its special monitoring mission have been deprived of their liberty in Donetsk and Luhansk. The OSCE is using all available channels to facilitate the release of its personnel,” the organization said, adding that it was unable to provide further details at this time.
