OSRS: Desert Treasure 2 Beta Rewards

You can currently check out the Desert Treasure 2 rewards in the beta worlds and calculate how much OSRS GP they could be worth once they hit the live servers.

Old School RuneScape is RuneScape as you used to know it. It was first released in 2013 and is based on RuneScape as it was back in 2007. It is an open world fantasy MMORPG shaped by its players. (Source: Jagex.com)

Old School RuneScape offers many ways to earn OSRS Gold. Many players slay bosses or go on raids to get OSRS GP. This is because many bosses drop valuable loot that can make you rich. Unfortunately, many bosses are only accessible to high-level players that require decent gear and sometimes even quests to complete. So it’s not surprising that some players get themselves OSRS accounts to have a chance to take them down.

What makes Desert Treasure 2 so unique?

There are already three grandmaster quests in OSRS that give you access to various money-making techniques. For example, Dragon Slayer 2 grants you access to Vorkath, a great boss for OSRS GP. Monkey Madness 2 gives you access to demonic gorillas who are hunted for their valuable prey. Song of the Elves gives you access to an entire city, Prifdinas, which is particularly useful for Ironman accounts, but equally so for anyone looking to earn gold with the Corrupted Gauntlet OSRS.

The upcoming Grandmaster quests in Desert Treasure 2 grant you access to not just one, but four bosses that you can fight repeatedly for massive gains. Some of the rewards require you to defeat all four bosses, while other rewards only allow you to defeat a single boss. Additionally, completing the quest will give you access to an entirely new prayer book, where you’ll encounter each of these four bosses for the first time. If you’re curious, you can now try each and every one of these bosses in the beta world and they’ll be in your inventory right away as soon as you switch to the beta world.

The Ruinous Powers

The Ruinous Powers are the first alternate prayer book in Old School RuneScape. Although some prayers have been discarded, it still contains a total of 23 different prayers. It’s primarily an upgrade over the standard prayer book, although Jagex originally designed it as an alternative, not an upgrade.

Best in Slot Rings

One of the rewards you can get from one of the bosses is Best in Slot Rings, which offer even better stats than the Dagannoth Kings’ refined rings, which you upgrade with either Nightmare Zone points or Soulwars points can. The new rings offer you the best possible stats for the ring slot and are partially linked to the Dagannoth drops, so they still remain relevant as the second best gear in the slot.

Ancient scepter upgrades

Game developer Jagex has begun to bridge the gap between the Ancient Staff and the Master Staff in terms of weapons that automatically cast Ancient Magic spells. You can unlock this alternate spellbook by completing Desert Treasure 1. It’s worth it, as few weapons can use these spells automatically. With the Phantom Muspah, Jagex has taken the first step in closing this gap. Desert Treasure 2 goes a step further and offers some upgrades for the ancient scepter.

You can equip the upgraded Staff version if your Magic level is at least 75 and you have 60 Strength and 50 Attack. The same levels also apply to the basic version of the scepter.

Soulreaper Axe

As a reward for defeating all bosses, you will receive an intriguing melee weapon that staggers damage. Each time you strike with her, you stagger the damage. Consuming the squadron increases your power according to the number of squadrons collected. You need level 80 attack and level 80 strength to use it. You must also have defeated each boss at least once to get them.

Virtus Robes

These magic robes are an exclusive magic armor set. You need 75 Defense and 80 Magic to wear them. In order to get the Virtus Robes, you must defeat all four bosses. Each boss drops a piece, you can then connect all of the four pieces together. All Virtus Robe pieces are tradable, so you can get OSRS GP by selling them or buy them with your OSRS Gold without ever having to kill any of the bosses.
