Spying, science fiction, western…. The film additions for November on Prime Video are quite varied in terms of their genres. If not always very young.

It’s impossible not to notice a certain drop in production and acquisitions on the Prime Video side in recent months. Amazon fortunately continues to add to the catalog of its streaming service with some new feature film releases this November. As usual, here is the complete list and an in-house selection.

If the number of new feature films is relatively high this time, unfortunately the same cannot be said of the series. An article is nevertheless dedicated to them.

A Talent in Solid Gold

Since its release in cinemas last year, A Talent in Solid Gold (Or The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent in VO) went back and forth between several SVoD platforms. In any case, at the beginning of November it is Amazon which will offer this solid mix of action and humor carried by Nicolas Cage in more or less his own role. Deliciously meta and especially nice for fans of the actor and Pedro Pascal.

Goodbye Cons

While his new film, Second Roundhas just arrived in cinemas, the previous production by Albert Dupontel, Goodbye Cons, is now on Prime Video. In addition to the director/actor, this comedy, as always acidic, can notably count on the presence of Virgine Efira and Nicolas Marié in its casting. A must-have for fans of the Dupontel style.

Champions Laugh

Hosted by Redouane Boughera, Champions Laugh is a new show with an original concept that mixes stand-up and football. The program should not please everyone, but at least has the merit of existing.

With its subscription price always (a little) more attractive than the others, Prime Video is a very interesting SVoD solution. If it still lacks a few additional flagship series to be able to be fully compared to Netflix, the platform offers a varied and rich enough catalog to keep you busy for a while. It also stands out with its X-Ray functionality and excellent video quality which can help forgive a few bugs here and there.

  • Fairly reasonable subscription price
  • Direct access to other services…
  • X-Ray functionality
Prime Video Disadvantages
  • Catalog of original works still a little shy
  • … but fairly cumbersome and confusing integration
  • Some small bugs
