As a comment above points out, the studio certainly has a lot of work on The Witcher 4 (in particular) and we suspect that the reception of the game must have cooled the studio a little to continue working on it in the very long term. .
That said, since mods are now available for the PC game, fans can reassure themselves with their own creations. When you see what could be done on The Witcher 3, there is little doubt about what is possible with time and talent.
