The comedian Otto Waalkes finally slips back into a movie role. In "Catweazle" he becomes a medieval magician.
The famous East Frisian comedian Otto Waalkes (72, "Otto – Der Katastrofenfilm") is back with a movie: In "Catweazle" he mimes a medieval magician who accidentally conjures himself up into the present. There he has to grapple with modern innovations such as traffic lights, electric lights or smartphones.
The movie adaptation is based on the successful BBC series from the 1970s. Sven Unterwaldt (55) is the director. Katja Riemann (56), Henning Baum (48) and Julius Weckauf (12) can also be seen in other roles. The film will premiere in spring 2021.
