Our 2023 LFL Power Ranking

The League of Legends French league transfer window was once again thrilling and marked by many notable transfers and above all many new faces. In addition to the arrival of three new structures, we should find a dozen new playerss having never evolved in the league.

All these changes, in addition to many interesting transfers, have reshuffled the cards within the league. However, some teams seem to be doing well and have, on paper, very interesting rosters capable of vying for the title. Here is our Power Ranking of LFL teams for 2023.

S+: Team GO – Karmine Corp

On paper, Team GO and the Karmine Corp. are the two big favorites for the title this year. If 2022 and the domination of LDLC OL showed us that the best rosters on paper are not necessarily those who win at the end of the year, it remains a good indicator, especially at the start of the season. And on paper it’s good GO and KC who have the best weapons to win a new LFL title. Both teams have the best French players at their post in the regional league or even taking into account the major leagues. Fact, they will have the enthusiasm of the French public and it can also help them in their quest for trophies.

S: Team BDS Academy – Solary

Two teams, two completely opposite budgets and yet both are at the same level in this Power Ranking. In effect, Solary’s team of friends has a really ambitious and interesting roster for this year. If his ambition toaim for the titlewas often mocked by fans following disappointing results, this year seems to be finally the occasion to play the first roles. On his side, BDS Academy coming out of a very good year, with two LFL finals but without any trophies. With its roster bringing together several players who have played in the LEC, BDS should once again be at the top of the league basket.

A: AEGIS – BK ROG Esports

The two new arrivals in LFL were quickly composed of rosters that lived up to fans’ expectations. AEGISwith the recruitment from the start of the transfer window of Jeremy “Eika” Valdenaire, mainstay of the league, directly showed his ambition. In addition to the Frenchman, the rest of the team seems consistent with a mix of experience and youth. As for BK ROGthe structure and its consequent budget, went directly to draw on the side of South Korea with two LCK Challengers players. If the two manage to integrate quickly in Europe and speak English quickly, they could allow BK ROG to play for the first places from its first Split, especially when we know the talent of the players in this Korean league.

B: LDLC OL – Vitality.Bee – GameWard

Three of the four representatives of the LFL at the last European Masters experienced a particular transfer window. First of all, LDLC OL was looted by the LEC with three players who moved up the league. In the end, the Lyon structure starts from scratch, with an unattractive roster on paper. However, 2022 has shown us that foxes can surprise and play leading roles even when they are not expected.

On his side, Vitality.Bee arrives in 2023 with a roster focusing more on youth, as an LEC academy should do. If his nuggets manage to find their way, they could hurt the title contenders even if on paper, Vitality doesn’t have the best roster. For GameWard, the deal is different but it too has not kept any player from last season. With players mostly from Prime League, GW didn’t get stronger on paper and will have to whip to try to achieve the same season as in 2022, concluded with a semi-final at the EU Masters.

C: Izi Dream

the returning from the LFL will play well in the French league in 2023 despite failing in the promotion tournament. The structure that took over the slot from Mirage Elyandra will not, however, field the most flamboyant roster in the league. Its late officialization did not help to build a team that can play for the first places even if several elements are interesting. If the group manages to create good chemistryhe could still surprise some teams and potentially reach the playoffs even if the task will be complicated.
