The Chinese New Year corresponds to the beginning of the Spring Holidays in the Chinese calendar. For this year 2021, we enter the year of the Ox or Metal Ox on February 3. What do we eat during the Chinese New Year?

The meal usually continues with Asian soups close to the broth, garnished with ravioli or rice vermicelli. For dessert, there is the traditional New Year's cake, the Nyangao. A rice cake stuffed with red beans. Chinese fondue is also a traditional New Year's dish, soaking scallops, surimis, squid, shrimp, mushrooms in a vegetable broth. This is one of the most user-friendly easy and quick recipes.

Finally, it all ends with the traditional "Fortune cookies" or luck cakes. This practice originated in American Chinese restaurants. We find there the famous proverb that will bring good luck.
