From RTL to Sat.1: Oliver Geissen changes the channel, but not the genre. From March he will moderate the ranking show “Our Favorites”.
As is well known, ranking shows are his hobbyhorse: That’s it In the future, Oliver Geissen (54) will no longer only be on the “Ultimate Chart Show” on RTL, but now also on Sat.1. In the new show “Our Favorites” the presenter is looking for Germany’s most popular and best-known celebrities from the fields of comedy, music or film.
The new format can be seen from March on the occasion of the upcoming 75th birthday of the Federal Republic of Germany. Whether Otto Waalkes (75), Helene Fischer (39), Udo Lindenberg (77) or Matthias Schweighöfer (42) – Geissen is looking forward to presenting the new show and celebrating Germany’s most famous personalities: “The current biggest favorites from the areas Film, comedy and music – I’m very excited to see what makes our country tick,” he is quoted as saying in a press release from the station.

Sat.1 station boss Marc Rasmus is also looking forward to “Our Favorites”: “For Germany’s 75th birthday, we are dedicating ourselves to the stars who made us laugh, marvel and maybe even cry.” Geissen was his “absolute dream line-up”: “Nobody fits this ultimate ranking show better than Oliver Geissen.”
