Out and about without lights – cyclists crashed into each other in Zell am See

Two cyclists probably saw each other too late in Zell am See on Friday evening. There was a collision and both were injured. A 44-year-old even came to the hospital.

At around 10 p.m., a 62-year-old from Zell am See was riding on a bike path in the municipality without lights. A 44-year-old woman came towards him. The two saw each other too late, collided head-on and fell. They injured themselves in the process. After receiving initial treatment from an emergency doctor, the woman was taken by ambulance to the hospital in Zell am See. She was traveling without a helmet and seriously injured her face. The police carried out a breathalyzer test on the 62-year-old on the spot. It worked: the man had 1.62 per mille in his blood. Because of her injuries, the woman was unable to be breathalyzed.
