“Outlander” fans are still eagerly waiting for season 7.2, but now the 8th season is already being filmed, which represents the grand finale of the series. In a new video, the actors look behind the scenes.

“Outlander” fans are used to painfully long waits, but the late release of the second half of season 7 is a nuisance – especially since filming has long been completed.
So while we still want to know how season 7 ends, the “Outlander” cast is already in the middle of producing season 8, which, as we’ve known for a while, will be the big finale of the series.
Back to the beginnings
To celebrate the start of work on Season 8, a new video has been released showing stars Sam Heughan and Caitríona Balfe behind the scenes. After they both walk through the doors to the set of the new episodes, we experience a little look back through the past 7 seasons.
Photos, posters and props also bring back memories of Richard Rankin, Sophie Skelton and John Bell. A bittersweet journey through time, as season 1 of “Outlander” was already 10 years ago.
Even though we will probably have to wait until the end of 2025 or even longer for season 8, this waiting time also has its good side. After all, Droughtlander, i.e. the drought between two “Outlander” seasons, is still better than the time after season 8, when we can no longer expect a sequel.
