  • “Outlander” is already approaching the grand finale of season 6.
  • In Episode 7, Claire considers whether she should be responsible for the murder of Malva.
  • Meanwhile, Roger plans a future as a pastor.

In the seventh episode of “Outlander” season 6, everyone on Fraser’s Ridge is on edge after Malva’s murder. Jamie works to ensure Malva has a proper burial, and Claire sews up the fatal cut on Malva’s throat. In doing so, Claire is plagued by bad thoughts, a side effect of the Aether.

Claire is considered the prime suspect and even Claire isn’t sure if she might have committed this horrible act after all. She tells Jamie about it and also confesses to using ether to help her fall asleep, but Jamie believes in his wife’s innocence. However, now Claire can’t fall asleep without ether or she’ll see Lionel Brown in the corner of her bedroom.

Another problem on Fraser’s Ridge is Lizzie’s pregnancy. She started a love triangle with Kezzie and Josiah Beardsley. But now Lizzie does not know which of the twins is the father of her unborn child – a scandal! Jamie proposes that Lizzie marry one of the brothers.

Roger, who is conducting Malva’s funeral, feels comfortable in the role of minister and considers becoming minister on a permanent basis, which Jamie supports. In a barn, Jamie each draws a straw from Kezzie and Josiah. Kezzie gets the short end of the stick and is supposed to marry Lizzie. Jamie quickly weds her and sends Josiah away until the baby is born. Before that, however, Lizzie and Josiah secretly let Roger marry them.

Brianna is unsure about supporting Roger’s new career as a pastor. She remembers Claire, who used to disappear at night to help others. Roger assures her that he is a husband and father first and will always be there for her.

Lizzie tells Claire that she knocked on Claire’s door the night Malva was killed, causing Claire to realize that she must be innocent – if she had killed Malva, Lizzie would have seen her! She rejoices in not being insane until Lionel Brown’s ghost haunts her again, accusing her of having committed enough sins.

Jamie sees Claire talking to herself and afterwards assures her that Claire never did anything wrong. Everything would fall apart without her and if she can’t silence the voices in her head alone, he will help her.

In the protective arms of Jamie, Claire has no idea that a group of angry men are on their way to arrest her for Malva’s murder. We’ll find out how Claire can get out of this misery on May 1st, when the season finale of “Outlander” airs in the USA on Starz.
