Outlander Season 6: Episode 8 Recap – In the season finale, Claire could end up on the gallows

• The short 6th season of “Outlander” ends with the current 8th episode.
• Claire and Jamie head to Wilmington with Tom Christie.
• Will Claire prove her innocence or will she be executed for Malva’s murder?

Fraser’s Ridge is invaded by an angry mob demanding that Claire face them or be handed over. They think Claire is a witch and have no doubt that she is the murderer of Malva.

Jamie and Claire have enough guns to fight back, but they fear Fraser’s Ridge might be burned down. Above all, Malva’s brother Allan accuses Claire and also Jamie, after all he cheated on his wife with Malva and should therefore also be arrested.

A group of Scots arrive to defend Claire and Jamie, but the two already plan their escape. Then Tom Christie speaks up. He’ll be driving to court with Claire and Jamie the next day. Since he is Malva’s father, everyone accepts this proposal.

On their last night at home, Jamie and Claire sleep together. Brianna and Roger come up with the same idea, but find themselves in a tent on their way to Edenton. They then consider when Jemmy should learn that he can travel through time. They don’t want to lie to him, but wait until Jemmy can keep a secret before revealing the truth.

Brianna realizes that Jemmy has lice, so she cuts his hair. They discover a birthmark on Jemmy’s scalp. Roger says that he also has a birthmark on his scalp and that it can be inherited. Then they realize that this mole finally proves that Roger is Jemmy’s biological father.

On their way to Wilmington, the carriage carrying Jamie, Claire and Tom Christie makes a brief stop in the woods, where Jamie spots Ian hiding in the trees. This has brought reinforcements and can free Jamie and Claire as soon as Jamie gives the sign.

However, Jamie thinks that by escaping they would also be admitting their guilt, so they should continue on to Wilmington. Suddenly, Richard Brown decides to break up Claire and Jamie after all. While Claire continues in the carriage with Tom Christie, Brown and his men plan to send Jamie back to Scotland.

However, Ian and the Cherokees save Jamie and now want to move with him to Wilmington. There, Claire is held in a cell awaiting trial and receives a small amount of money from Tom Christie, who tells her he won’t be leaving town.

And that concludes season 6 of “Outlander”! Jamie and Claire are broken up again, Claire could end up on the gallows and Roger and Brianna have no idea what happened on Fraser’s Ridge. With luck we will find out in autumn 2022 in season 7 how things will continue with Claire.
