Everything used to be so simple: “Outlander” ran in Germany immediately after the US broadcast on the pay-TV channel RTL Passion, so fans never had to wait long for the new adventures of Claire and Jamie.

Unfortunately, this has changed since Season 6. RTL Passion lost the rights to the series and so “Outlander” was suddenly without a clear German home. Fortunately, it shouldn’t be long before the current episodes were available for purchase on Amazon Prime Video. Several days passed before the German release, but at least “Outlander” fans didn’t have to do without their favorite series.

“Outlander” season 7 has been running since June 16, 2023 – at least in the USA. Once again, no streaming service has secured the exclusive rights in Germany, but it is already clear that season 7 will again be available for purchase on Amazon Prime Video.

It starts at Amazon on June 22, 2023, so the new episodes always land in Germany 6 days after the US broadcast. There will be a new episode every Thursday, presumably again either in German or in English – Amazon has not yet gone into more detail here. Outlander season 7 streaming on Lionsgate+

“Outlander” started on June 16, 2023 not only in the USA, but also in Great Britain. There, “Outlander” fans can see the new episodes every Friday on Lionsgate+ – during the day and not only after the linear TV broadcast in the evening in the USA. So you can’t watch Season 7 until then!

It is therefore likely that season 7 of “Outlander” will also appear on Netflix, but this cannot be expected until summer 2024 at the earliest. That assumes, of course, that Netflix would release the two halves of Season 7 separately. Since the rest of Season 7 won’t be out until 2024, those episodes aren’t likely to hit Netflix until 2025.
